Spätzle mit frische Beeren
Berries and sweet Spätzle are a delightful combination. Don’t forget to dust with icing sugar and top with fresh cream.
If you don’t already have one, you should order the Spätzlewunder (Muxel’s Magic Spätzle Board)) a week before making homemade Spätzle.
Of course, you use milk instead of water when making sweet Spätzle. Use the salt very sparingly and add vanilla sugar to the dough mixture. If you like you can also mix in some sweet cream.

Preparing Sweet Spätzle with BerriesCook the Spätzle as usual, but use milk instead of water for the dough. Go easy on the salt and add vanilla sugar. When the Spätzle are ready, mix them with vanilla sauce, dust generously with icing sugar and top with the berries. Garnish with whipped cream.
